Here at Spice of India we pride ourselves on our reputation for superb Indian cuisine prepared using traditional cooking methods and authentic eastern spices. Our menu features an extensive selection of time-honoured, traditional Indian dishes as well as contemporary Anglo-Indian favourites that are sure to excite your taste buds.

Our flexibility is second to none, offering you the opportunity of creating your desired meal to just how you like it. Come and experience a myriad of freshly prepared Indian dishes containing exotic blends of fine spices in the comfort of our fully air conditioned restaurant and of course, you can always enjoy our delicious Indian cuisine at home as we also offer a takeaway service with free home delivery for orders over £10. There are also discounts available for collection of orders. If you also fancy a drink with your delivery, our license gives us the opportunity of delivering your favourite beverage with your meal to your doorstep (terms and conditions apply).

With flexibility across two floors, our restaurant is large enough to accommodate sizeable parties, although we do advise you to kindly book ahead. There is also a function room ideal for private functions such as birthday parties, wedding reception, hen nights and private dining available for hire throughout the year.

Mr A Dawda

Mr A Dawda is the owner, business strategist and executive chef of Spice of India. He has 20 years of experience in the catering industry and is the founder and inspiration behind Swatlands Fine Indian Restaurant in Oadby,Leicester. He is also a business advisor, lecturer and trainer in business start-up and previously owned the Hollywood Video and Games Rental Chain which was a regional force in its time.

Mr Dawda’s experience is vast and mixed. He was a Board Director for the Haymarket Theatre Trust and subsequently Board director for the Leicester Theatre Trust which runs the Curve Theatre in Leicester. Mr Dawda was involved from the onset of this £61,000 000 project. He has given his voluntary time to work as a Business Advisor to Braunstone Community Association and has set up 24 start-up businesses for the community. Mr Dawda was nominated and chosen as a Business Champion By EMDA and has helped numerous organizations through his work as a Business champion for them. He was consequently invited to the Queens Garden Party for his endeavors, where he was met and congratulated by the Queen.
